Poultry Feeding Directions
How and When to Feed:
| 1. | Feed Nature’s Best Organic Broiler Starter as the sole ration to baby chicks from hatch to 21 days of age. Each bird will consume about three (3) pounds of feed during the three-week period. |
| 2. | Feed Nature’s Best Organic Pullet Grower Developer starting at 22 days of age to young layers or dual purpose birds and feed approxiamtely 12 pounds of pullet grower developer until the birds begin laying at 18-22 weeks of age. |
| 3. | Once laying begins, switch to Nature’s Best Organic Egg Layer Pellets. Feed as the sole ration to free-range and confined laying chickens after 18 weeks of age and throughout the laying cycle. Nature’s Best Organic Egg Layer Pellets can be fed to both male and female chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. |
| 4. | For meat birds feed Nature’s Best Organic Broiler Grower as the sole ration from day 22 to market. The amount necessary depends on the breed of chicken, weather, and the weight at market. The birds will consume approximately 2 – 2 ½ pounds of feed per pound of gain. |
| 5. | Nature’s Best Organic Scratch is available to provide organic whole grains and cracked corn to layers, broilers, and turkeys. No feeder is required and encourages scratching for pasture poultry. |
